Ricciardo and Tsunoda will race for AlphaTauri
AlphaTauri has confirmed the line-up; In 2024, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda will continue to drive for the team and Liam Lawson will become reserve driver for both Red Bull teams and will attend all races.
Daniel Ricciardo: “I’m happy that I will be racing with Yuki again next year as part of Scuderia AlphaTauri. Given the progress already made and plans for the future, an interesting period is coming for the team. There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are moving in the right direction. On to 2024!”
Yuki Tsunoda: “I am happy to stay with Scuderia AlphaTauri for the 2024 season. I look forward to continuing to work with the team and hope for further progress. I am grateful to Red Bull and Honda for continuing to believe in me.”
Franz Tostteam manager: “If Peter Bayer and Laurent Mekies lead the team forward next year, the technical regulations will hardly change, so it made sense to ensure continuity in the composition of the pilots.
I am very happy with Yuki’s progress over the last two and a half years, together with the experienced Daniel we will have one of the best racing pairs.
Liam has made a great impression this year, he will help the team as the third driver and I am confident he has a future in Formula 1.”
