Athletistic / Motorsport. Red Bull’s two-time world champion Max Verstappen shared his emotions after winning qualifying for the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix. The Dutchman claimed another pole position at the Suzuka Circuit.

“First of all, I want to thank the fans for their support here. There are some incredible Formula 1 fans in Japan. Thank you!

The race weekend is going well for our team so far. In qualifying I pushed as hard as I could and it was really cool. From the warm-up lap, I realized that everything would be fine today. Obviously you always try to do your best, but the car was going well and we had a good lap,” Verstappen said in the press conference after qualifying.

It should be noted that Max Verstappen set the best time during the three free practice sessions for the Japanese Grand Prix. The second and third places in qualifying were won by McLlaren drivers – Australian Oscar Piastri and Briton Lando Norris.

The race itself will take place on Sunday, September 24 and will start at 8:00 Moscow time.
