You can’t calm down, the battle is tight, the fate of every qualifying and race depends on the little things. Technically, Silverstone doesn’t suit our car, but this year we are fighting on all tracks – and we hope to be competitive this weekend. The British podium means a lot to us, it has a great history – we are eager to continue this successful streak.”
Valtteri Bottas: “The podium at Silverstone needs no introduction. The British Grand Prix is one of the greatest events in motorsport – you feel it as soon as you step through the gates of the track.
There are incredible fans here – there are many, they love and know our sport well, the Grand Prix is accompanied by a festive atmosphere from Thursday to Sunday. Of course, when you save all your attention at work, you don’t think of anything else, but such an atmosphere gives a lot of energy.
I’m sure we’ll have a good time this weekend, building on the success we’ve had in Montreal. It is important to make the most of each session to find the optimal settings for this challenging track with many fast corners where there is a lot to gain or lose. Guanyu Zhou: “I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel again. After a number of failed Grands Prix, the race in Canada gave me more confidence and the fact that I got my best result of my career in Formula 1 there clearly shows my progress. The race at Silverstone will be special. This is one of the historic tracks that I have always dreamed of driving in Formula 1. This circuit allows us to maximize the potential of our cars.
