AlphaTauri’s cars have had Honda engines since 2018, Red Bull Racing since 2019 and today, before the start of the race in Suzuka, both teams congratulated the Japanese company on its 75th anniversary.
The entire ALphaTauri racing crew, led by Franz Tost, took a photo in the team pits and everyone signed a poster dedicated to this event. And Max Verstappen, who achieved 42 of his 47 victories in Honda-powered cars, recorded a short video message.
“Congratulations to Honda on its 75th anniversary! – said the Red Bull Racing driver. – It’s great that I was able to win championships with Honda – thank you for giving me such powerful engines!
I am happy to be part of Honda’s long history and that we are fighting for the championship again this year. So let’s try it together!”
“I wish you all the best for the next phase of the company’s history,” added Sergio Perez. “Let’s dream of even more success together!”
