Pilot “Red Bull” Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix.

After a failure during the last stage in Singapore (5th place), the double world champion started from pole and at the finish was almost 20 seconds ahead of Lando Norris (McLaren), who had become second. Third place went to another McLaren driver, Oscar Piastri, who reached the podium for the first time in his F1 career.

Verstappen’s partner and closest championship competitor Sergio Perez went down. Nevertheless, Red Bull won the Constructors’ Championship in Japan – the sixth in the team’s history and the second in a row.

In the individual championship, Verstappen leads with 400 points, Perez is second (223), Lewis Hamilton is third (190).

The next stage will take place in Qatar from October 6 to 8 and will include a sprint.
