Athletistic/ Formula 1. Chief race engineer, “Mercedes” Andrew Shovlin, said the team was not going to drastically change its car.

“For most of the last decade we have been setting the standard required to win the championship. Most of this car meets that standard, it was developed by the same people and in the same way.

Obviously there are areas we need to improve: the aero package is one of them. We are also looking at the dynamics of the car and trying to improve the handling.

But we are not going to release a car with a radically different appearance. However, no car is sacred and we are always looking for where we can improve performance,” said Shovlin, as quoted by Racingnews365.
