There are sixteen stages of the season behind us, in which the drivers crashed their cars quite often. Reddit users calculated how much it cost to repair the cars after each accident and ranked the drivers based on the level of financial damage to their teams.
The most expensive driver was Logan Sargent – his 2023 accidents cost Williams $3.9 million. In second place in the ranking is Lance Stroll – the cost of restoring his car was $ 2.6 million. Sergio Perez rounds out the top three – this season he crashed cars worth $2.5 million.
Max Verstappen closes the rankings – he caused “only” $200,000 in damage to his car. That’s how much Red Bull Racing had to spend to restore the car after contact with George Russell in the sprint in Baku and after Max crashed into the pit wall at Silverstone.
