The final stage of the Eurocup GT World Challenge took place on Sunday at the Catalan circuit, and victory in the 3 Hours of Barcelona was taken by the AF Corse crew, essentially the Ferrari factory team, of Robert Schwartzman, Alessio Rovera and Nicklas Nielsen.
The trio race a Ferrari 296 GT3 sports car, and today’s success was the best result of the season, with Robert opening up his account of victories in the endurance races.
“First victory in endurance racing and I’m really happy to be on the top step of the podium after a busy and difficult season in the GT World Challenge,” Robert shared on his social media pages. “Many thanks to the team who had a great car all weekend, but also to my teammates!”
In addition, the second AF Corse crew of Antonio Fuoco, Davide Rigon and Daniel Serra took second place, helping Ferrari celebrate the winning double.
