Valtteri Bottas still considers cycling one of the best methods to train endurance and prepare for Formula 1 races, so he took part in a new competition last weekend.
This was one of the stages of the Belgian Championship, held on a difficult gravel track, and the category of competitors in which Valtteri took part had to cover a distance of 131 km. He did it, although he didn’t say what exact result he showed.
“Tough gravel race, but I had fun! – the Finnish Alfa Romeo driver responded on his social media pages. “I’m happy to have reached the finish and gained some experience riding in the middle of the pack on a fast and technical course of 131 km. And of course thanks to the fans for their support throughout the race!”
Valtteri’s friend, professional Australian cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, competed in the women’s category and won.
“Tiffany keeps winning, won the women’s race – she’s a real hero!” – added Bottas, who has already reached Qatar, where the 17th stage of the World Championship will be held next weekend.
