Ferrari Youth Academy member Oliver Berman will make his Formula 1 debut with two Friday practice sessions behind the wheel of a Haas – on October 27 in Mexico and November 24 in Abu Dhabi.
This year Berman successfully competed for Prema Racing in Formula 2 and achieved four victories in his debut season.
Gunther Steiner, head of Haas F1: “We are pleased to offer Oliver Berman the opportunity to travel to the track in Mexico and Abu Dhabi. He is having a great season in Formula 2, which is confirmed by four victories. He is part of the Ferrari Youth Academy, so there is no doubt that the training will be at the most serious level.”
Oliver Berman: “I am happy to have the opportunity to train with Haas F1 in Mexico and Abu Dhabi. I’ve been dreaming of getting into Formula 1 ever since I started karting, so this is an incredible event.
I am grateful to Haas and Ferrari for giving me this opportunity. I’m working hard to be ready to help the team as much as possible.”
