Dino Beganovic set the fastest time on the last day of Formula 3 testing in Jerez. The Swedish Prema driver drove his fastest lap of 1:29.990 in the morning session.
In the morning the riders worked on long series of laps and only switched to fast attempts in the last 45 minutes. The races were interrupted three times by red flags. McLaren youth program participant Hugo Ugochukwu was the first to stop work on track, getting stuck in the gravel at turn five.
The second red flag was due to Luke Browning’s spin in Turn 8. Four minutes before the end of the session, testing was stopped for a third time when Callum Voisin’s car stopped on track.
In the afternoon session the drivers continued working on a long series of laps. In contrast to the morning races, the tests were quieter: track work was interrupted only once, when Tim Tramnitz flew into the gravel in turn three 26 minutes before the end. The best time of the session was set by the Norwegian Martinius Stenshorn: 1:37.717 seconds.
Next week, on October 10 and 11, the Formula 3 tests will continue in Barcelona.
