At Silverstone, three Formula 1 teams broke the curfew rule – Mercedes, Haas and Ferrari.
On Wednesday evening, Mercedes and Haas employees, whose duties are directly related to the maintenance of the car, were on the track during the prohibited time period, which began on June 29 at 7:00 pm and ended on June 30 at 8:00 am. For Mercedes and Haas, this is the second of eight individual eliminations for the season, so there will be no penalties.
Ferrari broke curfew on Thursday evening. Scuderia employees, whose duties are directly related to the maintenance of the car, were on the track during the prohibited period, which began on June 30 at 7:00 PM and ended on July 1, at 9:00 AM.
For Ferrari, this is the first of six individual exceptions for the season, so there will be no sanctions either.
