McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won the Qatar Formula 1 Grand Prix qualifying sprint.
The Australian runner clocked 1 minute 24.454 seconds. His teammate Lando Norris (+0.082) took the second result, with the top three completed by Red Bull driver Max Verstappen (+0.192).
Mercedes Representative Lewis Hamilton failed to qualify for the final qualifying segment and will start the sprint race from 12th position.
The sprint will take place later on Saturday, starting at 8:30 p.m. (Moscow time). The Qatar Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday.
