The Haas F1 drivers did not score any points in Saturday’s sprint…
Kevin Magnussen (14th): “When the safety car appeared on the track for the third time, we took the risk to switch to Soft. It was a good choice, the soft tires provided a lot of grip, the other two cars in front of me did this too.
I wasn’t too worried about it, I thought they would overtake and I would overtake with them, but that didn’t happen, so I had to overtake them. I got stuck in traffic, but at least we tried.”
Nico Hulkenberg (meeting): “It’s a shame that it all ended in one meeting. I started on Medium and could have done better when my opponents’ soft tires lost their effectiveness at the end of the race.
Ocon had problems, I was able to attack him and Perez was behind him and was very fast. I focused on Ocon and saw him very late, and Esteban didn’t know there was another car next to me, and we ended up colliding. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t get any points today.”
