Alex Albon considers himself fortunate that he was able to grab a few points at the end of Saturday’s sprint in Qatar, but of course he succeeded mainly thanks to a good pace, correct and well-thought-out actions. And his partner again did not reach the finish line due to his own mistake.
Alex Albon (7th): “Today we took advantage of the fact that others were having a hard time and at first we earned one point, but after Charles Leclerc’s penalty it became two, so I’m very happy!
We decided to take a chance with our setup and it worked, so I think the good result was down to the right tactics and some luck.
We can also perform well tomorrow if the wind remains weak, such as during the sprint, and the weather forecast promises exactly that.”
Logan Sargent (departure): “I was exaggerating when I hit the curb at the entrance to the corner and the rear of the car was very unladen. It was a stupid mistake, but the positive is that I rode well from the start of the weekend, showed good pace and tomorrow we will try to continue this.
The plan is to drive the best Grand Prix possible and now I am getting ready for this second attempt, because on Sunday I will start 16th, so from a higher position.”
