Lance Stroll: We’ve reached a dead end with the car

Aston Martin surprised with its results at the start of the season, but then fell back due to the progress of its rivals. And if Fernando Alonso could somehow deal with this, Lance Stroll did not earn a single point after the summer break and dropped out of contention for the fourth Grand Prix in a row in the first part of qualifying.

All this cannot help but affect the morale of the racer. After another failure on Friday, he threw away the wheel and cockpit, pushed his personal trainer against the wall and said just three words in a post-qualifying interview, refusing further communication.

The sprint also went poorly, but the Canadian’s commentary was a bit more detailed.

Lance Stroll: We’re doing well. The coach is like a brother to me. We experience failure together, we travel together. We have a good relationship. Criticism of social networks? I’m not watching it this weekend, I’m racing.

It is clear that we have reached a dead end with the car and that the situation is not improving. Now the whole team feels disappointed. We want to achieve more, we want to get better, but now we just have to fight. I also struggle with the machine and try to find balance. I can’t get her to be as effective as she used to be, which is very frustrating.
