In Losail, the Haas F1 drivers did not earn any points, but they are optimistic about the next phase, where the team will present new products…
Kevin Magnussen (14th): Incredibly tough and very hot race. I can’t remember ever being this hot. But otherwise the day was positive. Even if we didn’t gain any points and lose even one position in the Constructors’ Championship, there are still five Grands Prix ahead of us.
The fight is very exciting, we stay focused and do everything we can to win back. We’ll get an update in the next phase – and we’re looking forward to getting started with it. We are not expecting miracles in the first race, it may take one or two laps before we can get the most out of it, but there are some positives.”
Nico Hulkenberg (16th): “Even before the car stopped, I realized I was in the wrong starting position, but there was no turning back. This was of course a big mistake on my part and ruined the race for me.
The conditions were extreme: heat, humidity, high pace on fresh asphalt. Today was not easy for everyone.”
