Verstappen: It was a fantastically successful year!

Max Verstappen, as always, performed aggressively in the Saturday sprint in Qatar, finishing second after a not very successful start, when he lost a few positions, but then calmly recovered to secure his third championship title six races before the end. of the season.

Max Verstappen (2nd): “Of course I’m in a good mood now! It’s been a fantastically successful year and we’ve had a lot of great races which I’m very proud of and I’m also very proud of the work of our whole team. It’s really cool to be part of this team, and to become a three-time world champion is simply incredible!

But we will continue in the same vein, we will try to show the best possible results. The race was also very interesting today. It’s a bit of a shame that the sprint was interrupted by the appearance of the safety car, but overall it was fun!

Oscar Piastri had a great race – I think it wasn’t easy for him, because we started on Medium tyres, and there were competitors around us on Soft tyres, and they had better grip initially, but he did everything well . At the end of the distance I tried my best to overtake him, but I couldn’t!”

Sergio Perez (meeting): “I just ended up in the wrong place, an incident happened and my car was seriously damaged. At the beginning of the race the grip on the track was poor, but I was able to gain a few places. Unfortunately, contact then took place and I lost everything.

Congratulations to Max, he had a fantastic season and deservedly won. I am very happy for him and the team.”
