Daniel Ricciardo fulfilled his honorable and enjoyable mission: he held demonstration performances in Nashville as part of the Red Bull Showrun, and about 30,000 spectators gathered to see him smoke tires on the RB7, the 2011 championship car.
Presumably this was an important event for him, as he again tested his physical condition after breaking his left wrist, suffered in August during the race weekend in Zandvoort. Due to an injury, the Australian missed five races and his AlphaTauri car was driven by the young and promising New Zealander Liam Lawson.
But the rehabilitation process has been successfully completed, Daniel started training on the simulator some time ago and should finally be back in action on the podium in Austin. Meanwhile, he was entertaining the crowd in Nashville and having fun himself, which we already talked about.
Red Bull have shared the first images of Ricciardo’s performance and there’s no doubt that a more complete version of this report will be released soon, but you can get an idea of how it all went down for now.
We already quoted the short interview in this video in an earlier article about Daniel’s tour in the capital of Tennessee.
