The McLaren Formula E team is preparing for the next electric car racing world championship and has today unveiled an updated livery for its cars.
Traditionally it has been designed mainly in orange and black, characteristic of all McLaren Racing teams.
Ian James, Managing Director of McLaren Electric Racing and team principal: “We are preparing for our second season in Formula E and trying to apply all the experience we gained from the previous championship. Our team is constantly evolving and the updated livery is just one sign of this process.
I want to see our car, with its new design, as soon as possible on all those beautiful circuits where we will compete next year.”
In their debut season in Formula E, McLaren finished 8th, including two starts from pole and Jake Hughes on the podium in Saudi Arabia. Next year he will change partners – Sam Bird took the place of Rene Rast.
The active preparation phase for the new season will start very soon: the official Formula E tests will start on October 23 in Valencia and the first stage of the 2024 championship will be held on January 13 in Mexico City.
