Before the US Grand Prix, Esteban Ocon summarized the results of the last race and talked about the upcoming stage…

Question: How do you assess the results of the Qatar Grand Prix, where you were able to earn points?
Esteban Ocon: It was a very tough and physically challenging race for everyone, but I am very happy that I was able to finish with six points for the team on Sunday.

In difficult conditions we managed to focus on the task and earn well-deserved points. We learned a lot of lessons from last weekend and overall it was a positive day.

After Qatar the work did not stop; At our base the team was preparing for the stage that included the Saturday sprint in Austin in a series of three Grand Prix in a row.

Q: How did you prepare for these phases?
Esteban Ocon: After taking a few days of rest and recovery after Qatar, we switched to preparing for the upcoming races. This included physical training, simulator work at Enstone, meetings with engineers to discuss and discuss future plans.

Three stages in a row will be a difficult test for everyone in Formula 1. You need to take care of yourself, not relax and focus on what is most important. We will look to build on the success of the last stage and compete for points in the sprint and main race.

Question: What do you think of the circuit in Austin, which will host the first Grand Prix in a series of three races in a row?
Esteban Ocon: Racing in America is always interesting. In recent years, the popularity of our sport in the United States has grown enormously, and you can feel it every time you return there.

I really like the city of Austin, I like the smooth track with a great atmosphere. The races there are often interesting. I’m looking forward to the start of the weekend.
