Pierre Gasly loves the American stage of the championship, where he is especially pleased with the hospitable atmosphere, and everything would be great if there were not one circumstance: his luggage was lost on the way to Austin.
Pierre Gasly: “I’m looking forward to the American weekend, I like everything here, except that when we landed in Austin I couldn’t get my luggage. Everything else is great, I like the local atmosphere, the really friendly welcome that the Americans give us, because they are very social people.
I deliberately flew to Austin a little earlier to acclimatize to the jet lag and have more free time here. I managed to play golf, and last night I went to an NBA game and saw Victor Vembanyama, the new star of French basketball, who just surprises everyone, play. So far everything is going well for me.
Moreover, I am glad that Alpine has new investors, and among them there are very famous people, famous athletes. We are proud that they support our team and also want it to become the leader of Formula 1. Of course this is a special moment in the team’s history, I will be happy to meet them.”
