Alpine reserve rider Jack Douhan will take part in the first free practice of the Mexico City and Abu Dhabi stages. In Mexico City, the Australian driver will replace Pierre Gasly, and at the Yas Marina circuit he will drive Esteban Ocon’s car.
Jack Douhan: “I am honored to have the opportunity to drive a Formula 1 car in the Grand Prix for the second year in a row. I am very grateful to Alpine for the opportunity to pilot the A523 during training in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.
This year, as a reserve driver, I have worked very hard with the team and taken every opportunity to learn as much as possible. I feel ready to be a racer. “I am fully focused on working for the team and will try to make a positive contribution to Alpine’s results over these two weekends.”
In 2022, Jack Duane also took part in training in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.
