The Andretti Formula E team car with which Jake Dennis won this year’s electric car racing world championship was painted in a predominantly red and black color scheme. But in the next Formula E season, the design of the American team’s cars will change.
Ahead of the official tests, which start on October 23 in Valencia, it presented a new color scheme for the cars, which will now be red and white with some blue accents – in fact these are the colors we see on the Andretti Global logo.
The overalls of the drivers, current world champion Jake Dennis and his new partner Norman Nato, will also be white and red.
“The specific design of the cars we will test in Valencia provides a good indication of the goals we want to achieve with the rebrand,” said Michael Andretti, CEO and president of Andretti Global. “And it is symbolic that the first person to demonstrate the colors of our brand will be the current world champion.”
The Andretti team competes in Formula E with cars powered by Porsche 99X Electric engines, but it’s not just their livery that will change: Jake Dennis’ electric racing car will carry the championship number 1. His teammate Norman Nato will take part in car number 17 – in memory of his friend Jules Bianchi, who passed away in 2015.
Andretti Global teams compete in eight different series, spanning six continents, with a total of more than 260 wins. One of the main topics in the motorsport press lately has been Michael Andretti’s attempts to enter Formula 1. The Andretti Cadillac project has already received official approval from the FIA, although the world championship management and traditional participants are not yet particularly positive about it. this.
