Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix at the Austin (Texas) track.
The three-time world champion started from sixth position, but as the race progressed he took the lead despite having problems with the braking system. For the 26-year-old driver, this victory was his 50th in Formula 1.
The British took second place Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), the leading trio was completed by his compatriot Lando Norris (McLaren). The pole position holder, Monegasque Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, spent the race using the tactic of a single pit stop and dropped to sixth place.
Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri retired due to technical problems.
The next stage of the Formula 1 championship will take place from October 27 to 29 in Mexico. There are four Grands Prix left before the end of the season.
