Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc were disqualified following the results of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix race; The disqualification decision was made by the Grand Prix stewards based on the report of technical delegate Joe Bauer.
Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix at the Austin (Texas) track. Second place was taken by the Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), the leading trio was completed by his compatriot Lando Norris (McLaren). The pole position holder, Monegasque Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, spent the race using the tactic of a single pit stop and dropped to sixth place.
After the race, Hamilton and Leclerc’s cars failed technical inspection. The skid plates located under the bottom of Mercedes and Ferrari cars were found to not comply with regulations.
Hamilton lost second place at the end of the race, Leclerc lost sixth place. Lando Norris finished second, while Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz was third.
