There are always a lot of fans in the Mexico City Grand Prix paddock. These are mainly holders of tickets for the Paddock Club, guests of teams and sponsors. In 2022, there were so many spectators in the paddock of the Mexican circuit that safety problems arose.
The organizers of the Mexico City Grand Prix drew conclusions from last year’s experiences and limited the number of guests with access to the circuit’s paddock in 2023. The spectators in the paddock were asked to show more respect for the drivers.
“We have worked closely with Formula 1 to reduce the number of requests for spectator access to the paddock,” said Rodrigo Sanchez, marketing director of the Mexico City Grand Prix. – We receive many requests for passes from teams and sponsors, but we have tried to make the spectator list as compact as possible. This makes it much more comfortable in the paddock.”
