Lewis Hamilton We will keep attacking!

Lewis Hamilton finished third at Silverstone after an incredibly exciting race. The seven-time world champion is happy to have climbed the podium, realizing that the rivals were still faster.

Lewis Hamilton: “First of all I would like to dedicate this podium to the fans – this Grand Prix gathered a record crowd in the history of Great Britain this weekend! Thank you everyone for the incredible support. We don’t see this in any other country in the world!

Today I gave everything, tried to chase Ferrari, but they were too fast. And of course congratulations Carlos! And at the end of the race we had a sharp duel with Sergio Perez, but the Red Bull car was also faster than the Mercedes on the straights.

I am grateful to our entire team, who prepared technical innovations for this race, which allowed us to get one step closer to the leaders. In general, we will continue to attack!

We lost some time in the pit stop, then I tried to overtake the leaders and the tires on both compounds allowed the car to maintain a good pace. Difficulties started closer to the finish when I couldn’t stop the Red Bull, their car was very fast so we have to try to improve but the progress is already very noticeable.

We made it to the podium, which is a huge bonus, but I’m also very happy that no one was injured in the incident at the start. And I repeat, we will continue to attack!”
