In Mexico City, Alex Albon earned the points for Williams by finishing ninth, while Logan Sargent finished 16th…
Alex Albon (9th): “An excellent race, what is surprising is that we did not have enough speed over the entire distance. The asphalt was too hot, so I constantly monitored the condition of the tires.
I had a good start, gained a few places, then the red flags ruined things a bit, but ninth is a great result, so I’m happy.”
Logan Sargent (16th): “Another good race. Great pace, several overtakes. Unfortunately I had a bad restart, which meant I didn’t make the top ten.
Due to problems with the fuel pump I had to withdraw from the race. There was enough fuel in the tanks, but it could not get into the engine. We have done our best to solve this problem. It’s a shame I didn’t finish, but I gave everything in the fight and I’m happy with myself.”
