Athletistic / Formula 1. Red Bull Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner has shared his opinion on the Austrian team’s Mexican driver Sergio Perez. The day before, on October 29, Checo ended the Mexican Grand Prix prematurely after a collision with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc at the start of the Mexican Grand Prix.
“I agree we had a very contrasting performance: another incredible run from Max, with complete and utter domination, but also a disappointment for Perez. Sergio started like a spaceship and had so much momentum in the first corner. But you can’t blame him for that “he did this in order to become a leader at his home Grand Prix,” Horner said according to PlanetF1.
Another Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen, won the Mexican Grand Prix in 2023. The Dutchman became the overall winner of this season ahead of schedule and became world champion for the third time in a row.
Sergio Perez has 240 points and is in second place in the overall Formula 1 championship.
