The Mercedes team effectively rehabilitated itself after the disqualification that befell it in the previous stage in Austin. In Mexico City, Lewis Hamilton drove an attacking race and finished second again, proving that he and his car are second only to Max Verstappen and Red Bull in terms of speed.
Toto Wolff, the head of the factory team of the Stuttgart group, was of course very happy with this.
