Lewis Hamilton finished second in Mexico City and is satisfied with the results of the race…
Lewis Hamilton (2nd): “I’m full of strength, today I didn’t have to pull out all the stops. But second place is an excellent result, considering I started sixth.
I am very proud of the team. The last two weeks have been difficult for us, at the last Grand Prix I was disqualified, but now we have achieved a well-deserved result.
I didn’t think the Medium tires would last so long, I had to take good care of them, but everything turned out fine in the end.”
George Russel (6th): “The car was in perfect order and showed good pace – this is a positive result from this weekend. I was following Carlos and was about to overtake him when the brakes overheated. I had to slow down to get to the finish line, but at that point the tires had cooled down and I couldn’t get them back to the working range. I felt like I was on ice for the last twenty laps and I’m very happy to finish sixth.
Another difficult weekend, but the car did well. We need to have a few clean weekends and achieve stability, but I am confident that everything will work out fine. I’m looking forward to Brazil and I hope we can show good pace there too and fight for the podium.”
