Lando Norris: “My secret? My secret is my poor performance in qualifying. Although it was of course nice to break to the front if you started from the penultimate row. All weekend our car was capable of excellent pace, although it probably wasn’t that great in qualifying, but it should have at least been enough to reach the final.
I had a good first part of the race, although it was difficult to make progress at the beginning. In the second segment everything started to go well, once I warmed up the tires to the required operating temperatures… Overall our pace was good and we worked well with the tires, achieving moderate wear, and thank you Despite all this the race was enjoyable for me.
When we talk about the predictions for the coming weekend, I don’t like to answer those kinds of questions. Moreover, no one knows the answers to that. Sometimes the weekend goes well, sometimes not, but I can say that we did not expect to perform as strongly in Mexico as we did in Suzuka or Qatar.
