The Brazilian Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until 2030, the racing series’ press service reports.
The contract for the organization of the stage in Sao Paulo has been extended for five years.
“I am delighted to announce that we will remain at Interlagos until 2030 and I look forward to many more years of the great atmosphere that the Brazilian fans will bring.”
Brazil has a rich motor racing heritage and this iconic circuit is a favorite of racers and fans around the world. “She embodies the best of racing and we look forward to seeing how she develops over the years,” said Formula 1 Chairman and CEO Stefano Domenicali.
The Interlagos Circuit, officially known as Autodromo José Carlos Pace, has been part of the Formula 1 calendar for over 50 years.
The 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix takes place these days in Sao Paulo, with a free practice session and qualifying scheduled for Friday.
