Three-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen won pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Dutch runnerRed Bull » was one of the first to show time in the final segment of the qualification and dominated the final protocol. The second was the Monegasque Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, the top 3 was completed by the Canadian Lance Stroll (Aston Martin).
The drivers only had one attempt to set the time in the final session, after which a downpour hit the track. The stewards waved red flags 4 minutes before the end of qualifying and the session did not resume.
On Saturday, the sprint qualifying and the sprint race will take place at the Interlagos circuit. Friday’s qualifying results form the starting grid for Sunday’s race.
