Athletistic / Formula 1. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has spoken about the weather conditions during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix. Verstappen won qualifying, but the race ended early due to high winds and rain. The roof was torn off at the Interlagos circuit.

“We lined up in the pit lane before the start of the third segment. And you could see that the sky was just black. It looked like if it rained it would be very heavy. The warm-up lap went very quickly.”

The first sector was normal. And the remaining circle was shocking. I think everything that’s happening has to do with the rain. The wind had seriously increased and the car was sliding. I have never encountered anything like this. It had a huge impact on the balance,” Verstappen said, as quoted by RaceFans.
