British pilot “McLaren” Lando Norris set the fastest time in qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix sprint race.
Norris’ final lap was 0.061 seconds faster than Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen’s time. Mexican Sergio Perez took third place at the end of the session.
In the first segment of sprint qualifying, French Alpine driver Esteban Ocon and Spaniard Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) collided.
Drivers will start the sprint race later on Saturday, starting at 9:30 p.m. Moscow time. Sunday will take place a classic race whose grid will be determined based on the results of Friday’s qualifying.
