Verstappen won the Brazilian Grand Prix, Alonso took the podium ahead of Perez on the last lap

Pilot “Red Bull” Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix.

The three-time champion won his 17th victory this season and the 52nd of his career.

Finished second Lando Norris (“McLaren”), third – Fernando Alonso (“Aston Martin”) The Spaniard regained third position on the last lap by overtaking Sergio Perez (Red Bull). At the finish, the Mexican lost to Alonso by just 0.053 seconds.

It was Alonso’s first podium since August, when he finished second in the Dutch Grand Prix.

Norris set the fastest lap of the race.

Charles Leclerc, who started second, crashed his Ferrari on the installation lap, then informed the team by radio that the hydraulic system had failed before takeoff.

After the start, Alexander Albon (Williams) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas) collided before the first corner, and Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Daniel Ricciardo (Alfa Tauri) also entered the wreck. The race was interrupted by red flags and the restart took place approximately half an hour later.

Verstappen has 524 points. The second in the individual ranking is Perez (258), the third is Hamilton (226).

The penultimate stage of the 2023 season will take place from November 16 to 18 in Las Vegas (USA).
