Max Verstappen lost his lead in the British Grand Prix by losing speed on lap 12. The Red Bull Racing driver thought he had a puncture due to debris on the track and turned into the pits. However, changing tires did not help – the car still had no speed.
After the finish, it turned out that the loss of speed was due to a piece of debris stuck in the bottom of the car. In addition, this piece came from the AlphaTauri sister team’s car. Yuki Tsunoda ruined the race not only for himself and his partner Pierre Gasly, who bumped into him on lap 11, but also for championship leader Max Verstappen.
Max, in turn, posted a photo on social networks in which he poses with the fateful fragment. Judging by the wide smile, the failure at Silverstone has not upset the Red Bull Racing driver and he is determined to recoup in Spielberg.
