Alfa Romeo/Sauber representative Alessandro Aluni Bravi spoke about plans for next season…
Alessandro Alunni Bravi: “Unfortunately we lost a lot of points this year. We need to understand why sometimes we are fast in qualifying but lose in the race, and vice versa. Without addressing this, we cannot change the situation.
It’s not about the balance of the car, we have to improve everything. In particular, it lacks grip, especially in fast corners – this is one of our weak points this season.
We are very happy to have James Key back, he started work at the beginning of September and is now working closely on our car for next year. Together with him we carried out an in-depth analysis of her project, making a number of important decisions. His experience helps us enormously.
Next year’s car will not be a further development of the existing one. We believe that there are some limitations in this concept that are holding us back from moving forward. We are building a completely new car, new in everything from the chassis to the suspension. The team is working hard, new specialists are coming to us who will also contribute and we will see the result in Bahrain next year.”
