Max Verstappen continues to set record after record – taking his 17th win of the season in the final stage in Sao Paulo. In 2023, the Red Bull Racing driver equaled the number of titles with the legendary Ayrton Senna and surpassed him in the number of race victories.
Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, the younger brother of Michael Schumacher, thinks comparisons between Max Verstappen and past champions are incorrect.
Ralf Schumacher: “Max Verstappen races from victory to victory and continues to write history. In Brazil he didn’t make a single mistake. However, I don’t like it when people compare someone to my brother or Ayrton Senna. They were excellent drivers of their time, and Verstappen is an excellent driver of his time. It’s simply incredible what results he has already achieved.
If you compare Max’s performance with his teammate Sergio Perez, you see a big speed difference over the race distance.”
