Race organizers in Las Vegas have announced that Australian and international pop star Kylie Minogue will perform at the Grand Prix opening ceremony on Wednesday evening.
It was previously reported that the Grammy Award-winning singer, who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, will perform concerts on other dates throughout the weekend, including her performance at the big Amber Lounge post-race party.
The name of the singer who will perform the American national anthem before the start of the Las Vegas Grand Prix has also become known: this honorable task is dedicated to Donny Osmond, a veteran of American show business who became famous in the 1970s. He was still young at the time, performed with four older brothers in the group The Osmonds and was considered one of the idols of the then teenagers.
Of course, he changed his image a long time ago, now his work is aimed at an adult audience, and for 11 years his show Donny & Marie, in which he performed with his sister, was successfully staged in Las Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel.
One must assume that he was entrusted with the singing of the national anthem ‘on the basis of the totality of his merits’.
In total, dozens of artists from different genres will entertain the crowd at various locations in Las Vegas during the race weekend.
