Valtteri Bottas believes that the organizers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix have done a great job and that everything is ready for the upcoming race, but like everyone else he is concerned about the level of grip on the new track.
Valtteri Bottas: “In all my years in Formula 1, I can’t remember a time when there was so much fuss about any race that such high expectations were associated with the weekend ahead. In Las Vegas everything is very bright, spectacular and pompous, but there are reasons for that.
This is a unique place for a Grand Prix, and in my opinion the organizers have done a great job: everything looks great, everything is ready for the race. What worries me most personally is the level of grip on the new track, as this is still difficult to predict. When we worked on the simulator we could only guess at this, but of course the settings largely depend on the quality of the connection.
But the configuration of the ring itself should contribute to an interesting battle on track, and I think we’re in for an exciting Grand Prix. I foresee that we will see a lot of overtaking actions and other interesting situations.”
Valtteri also said that his new charity project is developing successfully and the calendar for which nude photos were taken is in high demand.
“I never thought I would release such a calendar, but that’s how the project was conceived,” the Finn said with a smile. “But this was done for a good cause, and we have already raised about $50,000, and the amount continues to grow. So thank you to everyone who buys my calendar!”
