Michael Schumacher’s Keep Fighting Foundation has released a bracelet made from the left rear tire of the Ferrari 310 with which the future seven-time world champion won the 1996 Italian Grand Prix.
The bracelet was created in collaboration with Mongrip, a jewelry company from Monaco, which specializes, among other things, in products thematically related to Formula 1. It is produced in a limited edition of 91 pieces – depending on the number of victories achieved by Schumacher on the World Cup circuits, and is decorated with a platinum plate with seven small diamonds symbolizing his seven titles.
The first of these bracelets will be sold at tomorrow’s auction, organized by British auction house Bonhams, and the remaining 90 will be available for purchase online or in Monogrip boutiques from December 7. The bracelet will not be cheap, 8,000 euros, but we have to assume that there are people who want to buy it.
“I can’t think of anything better than wearing a piece of motorsport history on your wrist. This will really be appreciated by every racing fan,” said Sabine Kähm, Michael Schumacher’s former manager, who still maintains close contact with his family.
