Themis severely punished the scammers who deprived Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc of an important accessory.
Charles Leclerc can enjoy complete satisfaction. The offenders of a Formula 1 pilot received severe punishment for stealing his precious watch.
Let’s remember that the incident happened last year. Then a valuable Richard Mille worth 2 million euros disappeared from the hands of the Ferrari driver during his vacation in Italy.
A month later, the watch was found in Spain, where it was resold for 200 thousand euros.
As Eurosport reports, citing the court decision, a gang of four approached Charles Leclerc in two separate vehicles: an SUV and a scooter.
Two people on a scooter stopped Leclerc to ask for a selfie, posing as Ferrari fans. But instead of taking a picture together, they tore the watch off Charles’ wrist and disappeared.
Two other SUV riders stopped the Monegasque from chasing the couple on a scooter.
Law enforcement officers were able to stop the attackers. Two men received 10 years and 8 months in prison from the court. The woman who first stopped Leclerc for taking pictures received 6 years and 5 months.
