Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc won qualifying for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas.
The Monegasque achieved his best lap in the third segment in 1 minute 32.726 seconds. This is his fifth pole position of the season and the 23rd of his career.
Only 44 thousandths of a second were lost to him by another Ferrari driver. Carlos Sainz . The third was the three-time world champion Max Verstappen (“Red Bull”).
Due to a 10-position penalty for battery replacement, Sainz will start 12th, Verstappen will start the race second.
