In Las Vegas, Lance Stroll managed to finish ahead of his experienced teammate…
Lance walk (5th): “Nice race! I gained 10 positions in the first corner and climbed from 19th to 9th. I kept attacking, the team made some good strategic decisions: I changed the tires twice behind the safety car, made a few more overtakes and finally finished fifth. Great song, I was happy to please the fans.”
Fernando Alonso (9th): “I’m happy that I was able to earn some points this weekend. I spun on the first lap, but then we changed tires during the safety car and I gained a few places.
Overall a fun race and I had some great battles. The tires started to grain quickly and there wasn’t enough grip, but we gathered a lot of information that we will use to prepare for this race next season.
The Abu Dhabi race is just around the corner, where we will give everything in the battle for fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship.”
