Red Bull Racing is preparing for the season finale and the team’s drivers are in a combative mood ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but Max Verstappen is making no secret of the fact that he is already keen for the championship to finally end.
Max Verstappen: “The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix always brings back pleasant memories for me and our team: I will never forget winning the championship title for the first time at this circuit.
The 2023 season is very long and we have made great strides, but I am already looking forward to the break and some free time.
The whole team worked incredibly hard and everyone deserved a good holiday with the opportunity to spend time with friends and family. But now we have to make one last effort this year and I hope that the end of the season will be successful.”
Sergio Perez: “I am very happy to have gone to Abu Dhabi and secured second place in the individual championship. Now the last race of 2023 awaits us!
The season has been difficult at times, I have had successes and failures, but I want to end it on a positive note. Therefore, when testing the RB19, I plan to make every effort to achieve the correct settings for the car and its efficient operation.
In Las Vegas we were able to show excellent pace, and in general in the two previous stages – there and in Brazil – everything went well, and the racing was a pleasure for me. Now I want to get the most out of the car again and if we do everything right, we should perform well on both Saturday and Sunday.”
