By 2024, there will be no Audi logo on Sauber cars

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the last race that the Sauber team will hold under the Alfa Romeo name. In 2026, the team from Hinwil will become an Audi factory team, but until then the German car manufacturer will not be mentioned in its name.

“Next year the cars will not carry the Audi logo because they will not arrive until 2026,” Sauber director Alessandro Aluni Bravi said in Abu Dhabi. “From a commercial point of view, it is important to achieve great success in 2026 and not weaken the Audi brand by bringing him into the team now.” Over the next two years we will continue to compete as Sauber, building on the legacy of the entire group.

We have already planned the next step and the contract with the title sponsor for the next two seasons was signed at the beginning of 2022.

The FIA will publish the entry list for the 2024 season around December 10 and at that time, but not before, we will announce the name of the team for the next two seasons and the title partners.

Everything is very clear with the next two seasons. But I want to emphasize that these are not two transition years. We still have two years ahead of us, which are part of a long-term project to take the team to the next level.”
