The Swiss team Sauber has been participating in the world championship as Alfa Romeo since 2019, but the collaboration with the well-known Italian brand is coming to an end and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the last race under this name.
The press office of the team from Hinvil dedicated a special press release to the upcoming event, which contains both a romantic atmosphere and even musical images:
“During the season finale in Abu Dhabi, we say goodbye to our Alfa Romeo partners after six years of cooperation.
We are proud to have brought this historic brand back into Formula 1 and to have truly fought for every inch of the track for Alfa Romeo fans around the world.
But there is still one race ahead, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and we plan to fight for points to complete the season successfully, and to maintain the fighting spirit during the winter break to prepare for the new championship. The stakes are still high and we have a lot to fight for – for our brands, for our people, for our fans.
The season finale will be the closing piece of a long seasonal symphony, but the music is still playing and we are ready for the last dance of 2023.”
